Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- Spelling (UK/US), grammar and tone are consistent throughout.
- References are cited and included in a bibliography using a consistent and well recognised format.

This special edition aims to publish high-quality research that is applicable to professionals working within the fields of sport and exercise. The focus areas include, but are not limited to:
- Rehabilitation: Articles focussing on rehabilitation techniques, protocols, and outcomes for athletes and individuals engaged in regular physical activity.
- Injury and Illness Prevention and Management: Articles addressing the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of sports-related injuries and illnesses.
- Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Team Approaches: Articles highlighting the benefits and challenges of collaborative approaches involving various healthcare and sports professionals.
- Musculoskeletal Medicine: Articles regarding musculoskeletal health, injury mechanisms, treatment strategies, recovery processes and preventative practices.
